Artemis II Splashdown Watch Party

The City of Huntsville and Downtown Huntsville Inc. are hosting a splashdown watch party on Friday for the Artemis II mission’s return. The Orion spacecraft will land off San Diego, but the celebration will be centered at Big Spring Park. This isn’t just a viewing event—it’s a reaffirmation of Huntsville’s identity as the Rocket City. With Redstone Arsenal and NASA MSFC leading much of the rocket development, local pride runs deep. We expect crowds, food trucks, and live commentary. No word yet on whether any MSFC engineers will appear live on screen.
